TUTORIAL

Easter Eggs from Polymer Clay

The following materials are required:

- polymer clay with cold drying

- varnish for polymer clay

- wire

- glue

- nail polish in various shades of red

- paper ornamental napkin with a model

- white ribbon

The following tools are required:
- a brush
- a pincer
- a pliers for wire bending
- a pliers for wire cutting
- scissors

At first, we create the shape for the egg, from polymer clay, at around 2 cm in length, and then we add a little ring, made from wire, from which the ribbon will be tied.

After all the eggs are dried at room temperature, in about one day, they are varnished (with the varnish for polymer clay), for increasing their durability, and again left to dry.

They are then varnished with nail polish (or painted in acrylic tones or in oil, depending on preference). To facilitate the painting operation, we used a hook on the eggs, hanging them from the wire ring of the eggs and a clothesline, because they could be painted quickly and evenly.

After drying, we stuck on the eggs, with glue and with the help of the pincer, one or two small ornamental patterns cut from the ornamental paper napkin and then we tied them with a white ribbon.

These ornamental eggs can decorate the traditional Easter festive table, they can be offered attached to gifts or to flower bouquets, they can also be used as ornaments inside the house or in window shops during Easter celebration.
I created all these ornamental eggs to decorate the traditional Easter dinner table.

Oua ornamentale de Paste din lut polimeri

Materiale folosite:

- lut polimeric cu uscare la rece

- lac pentru marirea rezistentei dupa uscare

- sarma

- aracet

- lac de unghii in diferite nuante de culoare rosie

- servetel de hartie ornamental cu model

- pamblica alba

Unelte folosite:

- pensula

- penseta

- cleste de indoit sarma

- cleste de taiat sarma

- foarfeca

La inceput se modeleaza formele de ou din lut polimeric, de aproximativ 2 cm lungime, si se adauga un mic inel, facut din sarma, pe care se va prinde pamblica.

Dupa ce oualele se usuca la temperatura camerei, in aproximativ o zi, se dau cu lac pentru lut polimeric pentru marirea rezistentei si se lasa din nou la uscat.

Se dau apoi cu lac de unghii (sau se vopsesc cu culori acrilice sau culori cu ulei, dupa preferinta). Pentru usurarea operatiei de vopsit, le-am prins cu cate un carlig, de micul inel de sarma, pe o sarma de rufe pentru a putea fi vopsite mai repede si uniform.

Dupa ce s-au uscat, am lipit pe oua, cu aracet si cu ajutorul pensetei, cate unul sau doua modele decupate din servetelul ornamental de hartie si apoi le-am legat cu cate o pamblica alba.

Aceste oua ornamentale pot impodobi masa traditionala de Paste, se pot atasa la un cadou sau la un buchet de flori sau pot impodobi casa sau o vitrina de magazin in perioada sarbatorilor de Paste.

Toate aceste oua ornamentale le-am facut pentru a impodobi masa traditionala de Paste.
