In orasul Sulina in anul
1869 Comisiei Europene a Dunarii a construit "Farul Mare"
care
înlocuia vechiul far turcesc, ridicat în anul 1802.
Farul este declarat
monument istoric si el adapostește un mic muzeu
ce prezinta istoria Comisiei
Europene a Dunarii si o sală
dedicata
scriitorului Eugen Botez, cunoscut sub pseudonimul de "Jean Bart",
scriitor care
avea sa faca Sulina cunoscuta dincolo de granitele Romaniei,
prin celebrul sau
roman "Europolis".
In Sulina City in 1869 year the European Commission of the Danube built the "Great Lighthouse" that replacing the "Old Turkish Lighthouse", built in 1802.
The "Great Lighthouse" it is a historical monument who it houses a small museum that shows the history of the European Commission of the Danube
and a room dedicated to the writer Eugen Botez
known under the pseudonym "Jean Bart",
writer who did make the Sulina Town known beyond the borders of Romania,
by his famous novel "Europolis".
Prin Hotararea Guvernului Romaniei din 1990,
intreaga Delta a Dunarii a fost declarata Rezervatie a Biosferei.

entire Danube Delta was declared a Biosphere Reserve.
Vegetatia acvatica este reprezentata si de plante plutitoare
cum ar fi nuferii si ciulinii de balta.

Padurea Letea se afla in spatiul dintre dune, in forma
de benzi late de (10-250) m lungime.
